Privacy

Last updated October 23, 2026

Band Notes has no public accounts, no forms, no ads and no tracking cookies. We don't ask for and don't keep any personal information about you.

Signing in

Sign-in with Google is only for testing features that aren't public yet, and only accounts on our short list can use it. When someone signs in, Google tells us their email address, which we check against that list and keep in a sign-in cookie on their device for 30 days (until they sign out). We don't store it anywhere else.

Starred bands

When you star a band, the list of bands you starred is kept in a cookie on your device so pages can show them first. It holds band names only, nothing about you, and is sent only to this site. Unstar every band and the cookie is removed. We don't keep a copy.

Visit counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It doesn't use cookies or other storage in your browser, and doesn't fingerprint you or follow you to other sites. We see totals only: pages viewed, the site that linked here, country, browser and device type, and how fast pages load.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, it receives your IP address in order to send you the page. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Bands and scores

Scores come from the public recaps of the Colorado Bandmasters Association. We never name students, directors or judges.
